Hosting and teaching Policies for the IWMS CSWP training class and exam.

To help support water conservation efforts, the IWMS welcomes any organization to host the CSWP training class and exam. The following explains the required procedures:

  1. The IWMS will provide the training materials (except manuals) at no charge to the hosting group. This includes class slides, overheads, teaching outlines, practice session materials, handouts and overheads. These materials will be loaned for the class and then must be returned within 2 weeks of the training. Class teaching materials are copyrighted and cannot be duplicated or kept on computers after the training.
  2. Class must be taught with the CSWP training materials and manuals.
  3. A $500.00 refundable deposit must be paid before the class can be advertised and before the training materials can be shipped. This is fully refundable after the training is complete and the training materials and extra textbooks have been returned, all fees have been paid and all forms submitted.
  4. The hosting group is responsible for advertising the class and taking registrations. The IWMS will post all training classes on its website with links to the hosting group's website.
  5. The hosting group may charge any price they wish to for the one day class. The recommended price is $195.00. For each student that takes the class, the hosting group will pay the IWMS $70.00. This fee is for the class text books and administrative fees.
  6. Hosting group is responsible for all class costs, i.e. room, AV, refreshments etc.
  7. Hosting group is responsible for supplying an approved CSWP instructor.
  8. Class text book inventory is closely monitored and the hosting group is responsible for paying for each textbook not returned to the IWMS.
  9. The hosting organization will supply a specific, supplied registration form to the IWMS for each student. This will be used to verify their eligibility for the exam.
  10. Instructors and exam proctors must be pre-approved by the IWMS. These policies are dealt with in a separate document.
